Jenna Hargadine

Jenna Hargadine graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from the University of North Carolina Charlotte in 2010. She taught for 9 years in public schools, teaching mostly 3rd grade but dabbling in 5th grade and kindergarten as well. In 2020, she decided to homeschool her three children for a year during the pandemic. She loved homeschooling her own children but was inspired by her Heavenly Father to return to teaching and reach more of God’s children. In 2021, she stumbled into The Village Christian Academy, met the amazing director Helen Carr, and decided to join the family.

Jenna and her husband grew up in Missouri and met while in middle school. She has been married to her best friend for 14 years now. They have been blessed with 3 wonderful children who also attend The Village Christian Academy with Jenna each day. They are 4, 7, and 10 years old and she wishes they would stay little forever.

Her family, teaching children, and her faith are her favorite things in life. She also loves chocolate, orchids and lilies, reading books, camping, watching her kids play sports, little hikes, spending time outside, hummingbirds, watching shows, going to church on Sundays, family scripture study, plays, family vacations, and any activity that includes her family and friends. She is attempting to learn to play the piano and she tries to be crafty even though it doesn’t come naturally.

She chooses to teach at TVCA because of the focus the school has on each individual child and the focus on God. She loves the tiny class sizes so she can focus on what every child needs. She also loves the education her own children are receiving and the freedom to worship God every day at school.
